E-Therapy

Life is busy and adding appointments to your calendar may seem impossible. Why not bring therapy to you? E-therapy is a method of treatment in which the client and therapist can view each other through a website similar to Skype or Facetime and meet during a designated time. However, different than skype, at Midwest Counseling & Assessment we use a HIPAA compliant, secure website to communicate with you. E-therapy offers unique access and convenience to serve clients who have time and travel restrictions, live in remote areas, individuals with limited mobility and their caregivers, or anyone seeking help who is reluctant to see a counselor in person.

If you decide to try e-therapy through your computer or online device, you will always have the option of scheduling in-person sessions when it is convenient for you. Several insurance companies will pay for online therapy, but you should check with your insurance carrier to see what coverage they provide. Missouri Medicaid does not currently cover e-therapy from a person's home or office.
